Although runway rehearsals may involve a long day of sitting around, you always want to look professional. This certainly does not mean getting into full glam, but you want to take the time to put yourself together before your arrival, no matter how early that call-time might be.
As a model, you are a representative of your brand and your agency, if you have one, and you want to present yourself professionally at all times. Rehearsals are just another part of your job, so the last thing you want to do is show up looking like you just rolled out of bed and would rather be anywhere else but there (even if that’s how you really feel). You want to show the client/designer/producer that you’re thankful they chose you and that you’re ready to work.

Wear minimal to no makeup.
When you have a rehearsal, do not arrive with a full glam makeup look. Coming clean-faced is best, but minimal, everyday makeup is also acceptable. Often, a designer will combine a rehearsal with a fitting, so you want to make sure you don’t have a lot of makeup on that could transfer onto the clothing.
Leave hair natural or lightly styled.
As with the above, you want to look like you put some effort into your appearance when you left the house, but not overdo it. Lightly styling your hair or leaving it down & natural is the way to go! Always bring something to pull your hair back with in case it’s requested you put it up.
Get Dressed.
For rehearsal, you want to dress similar to how you would at a casting call. I always suggest the “model uniform” of a fitted tank and jeans or leggings. Arrive wearing comfortable shoes, but make sure you bring heels with you! Make sure your clothes are easy to remove because you may have to change in and out of multiple outfits, so you don’t want anything complicated to get out of. It's also a good idea to wear nude-colored undergarments, and either wear or bring a strapless bra. You never want to show up in sweatpants or loungewear; it’s incredibly unprofessional and gives the impression that you don’t care to be there. Also, remove all your personal jewelry so that it doesn’t accidentally get misplaced if you’re asked to remove it.
